چکیده
The construction of a compacted and stabilized layer with local soil from the excavation, mixed Portland cement, is improvement technique widely applied in foundation works collapsible loess ground Bulgaria. Commonly, role that cement-modified to replace part ground, increase bearing capacity base, and/or be an engineering barrier against migration harmful substances geoenvironment. A multi-barrier near-surface short-lived low- intermediate-level radioactive waste repository under beneath disposal cells going built by in-situ mixture cement. (indicated as loess-cement cushion) not continuation foundation, but it base performs two main functions: eventual radionuclides geoenvironment restrict deferential settlement base. present paper describes field experiment aiming verify strength deformation characteristics selected optimum loess–cement implementation ground. After 28-day curing at conditions, did exhibit any fissuring or other disturbances. allowable qa exceeded 900 kN/m2, possessed following characteristics: (plate) modulus EPLT = 500 MPa; coefficient sub-grade reaction ks 2158 МPa/m, unconfined compressive qu 2.00 MPa.

Experiment Study of Loess-filled Embankment under Dynamic Compaction
To investigate the dynamic compaction mechanism of loess-filled embankment, a computational model of unit volume compaction effort was proposed as compared with the compaction test. The energy level of dynamic compaction used in actual projects was also considered. The differences between the compaction test and the unit volume compaction effort in the actual projects were studied. And also, th...
متن کاملPhysico-Mechanical Properties of Organo-Modified Bentonite Reinforced Cement Mortars
It is demonstrated that the addition of organo-modified Na-bentonite (OMB) particles to Portland cement mortar can promote its physical and mechanical properties. A series of experimental works on some important physico-mechanical properties of Portland cement mortars mixed with various dosages of hydrophobic OMB were performed. The obtained results confirm that the OMB provides a dense packing...
متن کاملSource of Cement in the Great Oolite Reservoir, Storrington Oil Field, Weald Basin, South of England
The source of cement in oilfields is critical to the prediction of the distribution of cements in the reservoirs and also prediction of reservoir quality. The source of mineral forming cements has been determined for the Storrington oolitic carbonate reservoir (Middle Jurassic Great Oolite Formation, Weald Basin, onshore UK) using a combination of petrography, electron microscopy, fluid inclusi...
